Middle School Student Workshop Day:

Saturday, November 7th from 10AM - 1PM on Zoom!

Please join us for our annual Middle School Student Workshop Day on Saturday, November 7th. We are moving this year's workshop entirely online through Zoom! Workshop day runs from 10 AM to 1 PM.

There will be social activities in between workshops to introduce participants to other "theater kids" from around the state and build those connections and communities.

All participants will get to try three interactive and exciting workshops and explore new ways to create theater where they are, with what they have around them.

Workshops will include:

Performance Techniques for Monologues and Songs
We will focus on preparing for auditions and contests (like the upcoming METG Performance Contests later this year!)

Set & Costume Design and Concept Presentation
Use the materials you have around you! Skills you develop and ideas generated here can also be applied to METG Design Contest Entries!

Special Workshop with Skylar Fox (METG MS Division Alumnus) on Magic in Theater/Staging Impossible Moments SKYLAR FOX is a director, playwright, choreographer, designer, and multi-disciplinary theater maker based in Brooklyn. He cares about making wildly theatrical plays and musicals that push the boundaries of what theater can do to tell demandingly vulnerable stories powerfully. He is the Illusions & Magic Associate for Harry Potter & the Cursed Child on Broadway and internationally, and assistant directed the original production of Moulin Rouge!
