Arts ARE Education Campaign

The METG is committed to deepening our partnerships with local, state, and national organizations to help advocate on your behalf. To that end, the METG is excited to announce our participation in the new Arts ARE Education campaign, aimed at ensuring universal student access to school-based arts education in dance, music, visual arts, and theater.

For more information, visit the Arts ARE Education website.

Educators, Parents, Students, Theater Lovers & Supporters, please consider signing the pledge!

As we post resources and messages on our social media pages, please re-post, re-tweet, and share these widely.

Far too often, our arts programs and educators are the first to be considered when budgets are constrained. Far too often, our arts programs and educators do not have the same access to resources, professional development, and use of school facilities.

To our theater educators - you all do so much work -- often with so little -- and we want to provide you resources like these to help you advocate for your program and champion your students.

The Arts ARE Education website provides you with an Advocacy Toolkit which includes talking points and action items as well as Dear School Board and Dear Educator letters and information about budget planning.

You can also use this page to write to your legislators or provide your School Board with the Arts Are Education Resolution!
