High School Festival Overview
The Massachusetts High School Festival is the METG’s premier event. The festival includes 115 one-act plays produced by member high schools. The competition is organized on three levels – preliminary, semi-final and state. Student excellence in acting and technical design is recognized at each level, including the selection of an All-Star Company at the finals. Two schools chosen at the State Festival represent Massachusetts in the New England Drama Festival, the regional showcase of secondary school theatre.

Preliminary Round – Saturday, March 2 2013
Semi-Final Round – Saturday, March 9 2013
State Finals – Thursday – Saturday, March 21 – 23 2013
New England Festival – Wednesday – Friday April 17 – 19 2013 (Beacon Charter HS for the Arts, Woonsocket, Rhode Island)
